BOOK REVIEW: The Pastor's Christmas Prayer by Mindy Obenhaus

Mindy Obenhaus has written another book that tells the story of real-life problems that people

go through. And sometimes the problem may cause hurt and heartache that can never be forgiven

or undone. I highly recommend this great Christmas story!

The Pastor's Christmas Prayer is book number three in Mindy’s Legacy Ranch series and it brings back many of the endearing characters written about in the other books. I always enjoy reading books where the author continues the stories of most of the characters.

In this Legacy Ranch addition, it is youth pastor Jonathan Bauer’s story of living with grief while raising two small daughters. He has returned to Legacy Ranch and finds a surprise, his first love, Meredith Hunt, is there along with her aunt and three sisters, all who own and run Legacy Ranch.

This story tugs at readers’ hearts as old feelings surface between Jonathan and Meredith, but there is a secret that must come out if their relationship will continue and survive. But the relationship is not only between the two adults, it also includes Jonathan’s daughters, seven-year-old Caroline, and four-year-old Gracie, because they are drawn to Meredith and they need that female bonding.

All of the characters have qualities of real people in the real world, who invite you into their story to walk along with them through the bad days, the surprises, the busyness of life, and to end the day knowing that they did their best.

The story reminds me of the Bible verse that talks about people making their plans, but it is the Lord who directs their steps.

I can honestly say that I always enjoy reading a book written by Mindy Obenhaus. She knows all of the ingredients to write a faith-filled, emotionally-driven story filled with characters just like you and me! This is a keeper on my book shelf where I can read it any time I want.

Disclaimer: I was provided an ARC copy of the book from the author in return for an honest review.
